Every day, we capture a snapshot of your portfolio, letting you travel back and review your holdings and their prices on any specific date. Here's how it works — and how accurate that view is.
How It Works
Mobile
Go to your Portfolio
Click on the three-dot button below the chart
Select Time Machine from the dropdown menu
You're now inside the Time Machine, viewing the last snapshot of your portfolio. Use the Date Selector to choose a specific date, or the left/right arrows to move between dates — your portfolio updates immediately to show the Profit/Loss and assets for that day.
Web
Navigate to the Portfolio Tracker tab
Go to the Dashboard
Click on Time Machine
Use the calendar icon at the top of the page to select the date you want to view, or the left/right arrows to move between days. Once a date is selected, your portfolio automatically refreshes to display the Profit/Loss and asset values as they were on that day.
Important Note
The Time Machine is available only to Degen users.
How Accurate Is Your Past Portfolio View?
How accurate the Time Machine's view is depends on when you became a Degen.
From the day you became a Degen: 100% accurate snapshots
The moment you enable Degen Mode, CoinStats starts taking daily snapshots of your portfolio — exact captures where every asset, balance, price, and total value is frozen in time and stored. So if you're checking a date after you became a Degen, what you see is exactly what your portfolio looked like that day. Nothing is reconstructed or estimated.
Dates before Degen Mode: rebuilt from transaction history
Looking at a date before you turned on Degen Mode? In that case, we don't have snapshots, so CoinStats tries to rebuild your portfolio by calculating your balance from your transaction history — using your connected wallet and exchange transaction data, all available deposits, withdrawals, buys, sells, and transfers, and historical prices.
This reconstruction might be inaccurate if some transactions are missing, an integration's API doesn't provide correct data, or there are other transaction-related issues.
⚠️ Keep in mind: the further back you go before becoming a Degen, the more likely your portfolio view may contain gaps or inaccuracies.
Use the Time Machine to track your investment performance over time and make informed decisions based on historical data.
