How to Check Stuck Funds with CoinStats: Find and Claim Unclaimed Bridge Withdrawals

Learn what Stuck Funds are, where to find them on CoinStats, and how to get your unclaimed bridge withdrawals back.

Written by Sona

When you bridge crypto from a network like Base, Arbitrum or Optimism back to Ethereum, the transfer usually needs one last step on Ethereum before the funds arrive. That step might be a claim or a finalization. If it's never completed, the funds stay in the bridge and don't show up in your wallet's balance.

The Stuck Funds tab checks the EVM wallets in your portfolio for withdrawals like this. It shows how much is waiting and what you need to do to get it back.

How It Works

Web

  • Go to the Portfolio Tracker tab

  • Select the portfolio or wallet you want to check, or All Portfolios to check everything at once

  • Click Stuck Funds at the bottom of the sidebar, just above Settings

At the top of the page you'll see the total waiting in bridges and the number of unclaimed withdrawals. Below that is a table with one row per withdrawal:

  • Bridge: the network the withdrawal was sent from

  • Amount: the coin and the amount

  • Value: the current value in your selected currency

  • Since: the date the withdrawal was started

  • Next step: what you need to do to release the funds

What Each Next Step Means

  • Claim: The withdrawal is ready. Click Claim to open the bridge's official app, then send the claim transaction on Ethereum to receive your funds.

  • Prove & finalize: The withdrawal needs two transactions on Ethereum. First you submit a proof. Then, after the bridge's waiting period, you finalize it. Click the link to do both in the bridge's official app.

  • Finalize: The proof is already done, and one last transaction releases the funds. Click Finalize to complete it in the bridge's official app.

  • Locked by the bridge: You can't do anything on your side. Only the bridge's operators can release these funds. They appear in the summary as an amount that is "locked until the bridge operators release it."

Claiming and finalizing are Ethereum transactions, so you pay a network (gas) fee for each one.

Supported Networks

Stuck Funds checks withdrawals to Ethereum from these networks: Base, Optimism, Arbitrum One, Arbitrum Nova, zkSync Era, Linea, Scroll, Polygon PoS (including Plasma), Zora, Mode, Ink, Soneium, Unichain, World Chain, BOB and Boba.

Important Notes

  • The tab appears only for portfolios that include at least one EVM wallet. Exchange-only portfolios aren't checked.

  • The tab is hidden while your balances are hidden and while you're viewing a past date in Time Machine.

  • If no withdrawals are found, you'll see "Nothing stuck in bridges."

  • CoinStats doesn't hold your funds and can't claim them for you. All it does is find these withdrawals and link you to the bridge's own app.

⚠️ Stay Safe

Only claim through the bridge's official app, which is where the links in this tab go. Nobody needs your seed phrase or a token approval to release these funds. If someone contacts you offering to "unlock" or "recover" stuck funds for a fee, it's a scam.
