CoinStats has an automatic security system that monitors login activity and portfolio behavior to protect your account. In some cases, this system may temporarily suspend or block your account if it detects unusual or potentially risky activity.
Why Did This Happen?
Your account may have been automatically suspended or blocked for one or more of the following reasons:
Unusual login activity — such as login attempts from multiple locations, unfamiliar devices, or rapid successive logins
Suspicious portfolio behavior — unusual patterns in how your portfolio is being accessed or modified
Use of VPN or proxy services — connecting from IP addresses that appear suspicious to our security system
Multiple failed login attempts — too many incorrect password or 2FA attempts in a short period
This is an automated security measure designed to protect your account and data. It does not necessarily mean your account has been compromised — the system errs on the side of caution to keep you safe.
What Should I Do?
If you see a message like "Your account has been suspended for security reasons" when trying to log in:
Don't panic — this is a temporary security measure, and your data is safe.
You are already in the right place — since you're reading this, you're likely already chatting with our support team. A team member will review your account and help you regain access.
Be ready to verify your identity — our support team may ask you to confirm some details about your account (such as your registered email address) to verify that you are the rightful account owner.
⚠️ Important: You will not be able to resolve this on your own from the login screen. A support team member needs to manually review and reinstate your account.
How Long Does It Take?
Once you contact our support team, they will review your account as quickly as possible. Most account reinstatements are handled within a few hours during business hours.
How to Prevent This in the Future
To reduce the chance of your account being flagged by our security system:
Enable 2FA — adding two-factor authentication strengthens your account security and helps our system recognize legitimate logins. How to Enable / Disable 2FA for My Account
Use consistent devices — try to log in from the same devices and locations when possible
Keep your password secure — use a strong, unique password for your CoinStats account. How to Reset My Password?
⚠️ Beware of Scammers
If you received the suspension message, it came directly from CoinStats. However, be cautious:
CoinStats will never call you or contact you by phone
CoinStats will never ask for your password, 2FA codes, or sensitive information
Only trust communication through the official in-app/on-site chat or emails from the @coinstats.app domain
If anyone contacts you claiming to be CoinStats support through other channels, do not engage with them.
Feel free to reach out to us via in-app/on-site chat in case of any questions. 🧡
